What is Podi-m?
Podi-m is a functional work of art - a beautiful charging dock that perfectly mirrors the styling of the iPhone. From the aluminum trim of the iPhone 4 and 4s, to the beautiful bevel of the iPhone 5, podi-m gives your standard charging cable an exquisite new life. Because it works with all cases and uses your existing charging cable, podi-m is truly a versatile and elegant device. Made of aircraft grade aluminum and weighted with two steel discs inside the dock, the bottom of the Podi-m features a non-skid silicone pad to ensure it stays put while undocking the phone. Podi-m uses your existing charging cable, so you can upgrade your device at any time Each dock comes with two adapters- one for the standard 30 pin connector, and one for the new Lightning connector, so no matter what device you have, you can use podi-m now and for years to come. There's no waiting around for Lightning connector availability. The adapter pivots with your natural movement to ensure easy docking, and the height of the connector is adjustable, so it will fit any case, no matter how thick. Podi-m holds your existing connector securly with a stainless steel screw that nests on the underside of the aluminum plate. The dock is assembled with 2 stainless steel allen screws so its easy to change out connectors whenever you want. Podi-m achieved funding on Kickstarter on Dec 13, 2012. The money raised from the Kickstarter campaign was used to purchase tooling and materials to start production in Jan 2013. Because of the success of the Kickstarter campaign, Podi-m will be available in stores Summer 2013. |
